Wellmed, and Nob Hill Internal Medicine, are located on the fourth floor of the Physician's Office Building, across the street from Good Samaritan Hospital, in northwest Portland. Our Lovejoy street pedestrian entrance is on the TriMet #77 bus line (get off at 22nd street), half a block east from the TriMet #15 bus line on 23rd street (get off at Lovejoy street), or one and a half blocks west of the #17 bus line on 21st street (get off at Lovejoy street). We are on the new Portland streetcar line, which is scheduled to begin operation in Summer 2001.
The Physician's Office Building has three floors of free parking. Enter at Kearney street, one block south of Lovejoy. From the south, take I-405 north to the Everett street exit, continue on 14th street two blocks north to Glisan. Turn left on Glisan, go 8 blocks west to 22nd street. Turn right on 22nd street, and go 4 blocks north on 22nd to Kearney. Turn left on Kearney and go 1/2 block west; turn right into the parking structure. From the north, take I-405 south, over the Fremont Bridge, and take the Vaughn street exit just after the bridge. Immediately after leaving the freeway, prepare for a left turn onto 23rd. Take 23rd street 11 blocks south to Kearney, turn left, and go 1/2 block east. Turn left into the parking structure.
Navigation hint: north-south streets in northwest Portland are numbered, increasing as you go west from the Willamette river. The I-405 freeway runs between 14th and 15th, and the major shopping streets are 21st and 23rd. East-west streets are alphabetical in northwest Portland, starting at the major street Burnside on the south side, followed by Couch, Davis, Everett, Flanders, Glisan, Hoyt, Irving, Johnson, Kearney, Lovejoy, Marshall, Northrup, Overton, Pettygrove, Quimby, Raleigh, Savier, Thurman, Upshur, and Vaughan on the north side.
Nob Hill Internal Medicine is bicycle friendly. There are bicycle racks on the entry (2nd floor) parking level, and patients may bring their bicycles up to the clinic if they wish.
